Tilda Swinton, actress, film lover and co-creator of the Ballerina Ballroom Cinema of Dreams festival that took place in Scotland this summer, will make November our Cinema Month of the Year by visiting us not once, but twice, to talk after screenings of Erick Zonca’s latest film Julia, and Peter Wollen’s rarely screened Friendship’s Death.

Screening of Peter Wollen’s Friendship’s Death with an introduction and Q&A with Tilda Swinton

Marking the publication of a new edition of ‘Raiding the Icebox: Reflections on Twentieth-Century Culture’ (Verso Books; www.versobooks.com), seminal critic Peter Wollen’s kaleidoscopic overview of avant-garde and radical subcultures, we are pleased to present a special screening of his rarely seen feature Friendship’s Death.

With thanks to Gareth Evans, Verso and Tilda Swinton.
