Rachel's developing adolescent shape is a problem for tutors at a top London ballet school. Michael, a local comprehensive boy, is struggling with his exams. Set in Richmond Park, the film uses this natural wilderness in the city with its annual deer cull, to reiterate the predicament and emotions of the characters.
Assessment won the jury prize at Film London Best of Boroughs Film Awards hosted at BAFTA and premiered at 54th BFI London Film Festival. Assessment is short-listed for BAFTA nomination and selected by the British Council to be represented abroad.
