Written by Simon Beaufoy, 127 Hours tells the true story of American climber Aron Ralston (James Franco) who gets trapped whilst on a solo climbing expedition in Utah's Blue John canyon. Half way along his trip in a isolated ravine, a dislodged half-tonne boulder crashes down on him crushing his right arm and pinning him against the canyon wall. For the next five days he reflects on his life, but as his supplies and water run out he knows he'll have to take drastic measures to survive
