From the director of Amores Perros and Babel comes Biutiful, an exploration of one man’s spiritual journey on the road to redemption. Uxbal (Bardem, No Country For Old Men) is a conflicted man in free fall as he struggles to reconcile fatherhood, love, spirituality, crime, guilt and mortality amidst the dangerous underworld of modern Barcelona. His livelihood is earned out of bounds and his sacrifices for his two children know no bounds. He senses death all around him and darkness lights his path. Like life itself, this is a complex circular tale that ends where it begins.

There is still 11 months left for 2011, but Biutiful will be the best drama of the year. A stunning performance from bardem and great music. After this movie and all his rest, Inarritu is now in the top two best directors working in the world! Fact! Luke
