Technology and Marketing Assistant, Curzon Artificial Eye

Exciting opportunity working as part of a busy film distribution and exhibition team. Salary subject to candidate’s experience.

Curzon AE is looking for an enthusiastic and self-motivated individual to join our team at an exciting time. The role of the Technology and Marketing Assistant will be to assist the Group Technology and Marketing Manager in a variety of projects across the group. This role will provide the candidate with the opportunity to gain experience in the technical aspects of film (website development, digital distribution, network integration) as well as the creative aspects of film marketing (poster design, theatrical advertising and trailers)

This is no 9-5 job, and there may be times when you may have to work evenings. This is an excellent opportunity for someone wishing to gain an understanding of the film exhibition and distribution sector. It is an exciting and challenging role that requires a broad set of skills and interests.

Key Responsibilities

The post holder will be working with the Group Technology and Marketing Manager and will be assisting on a wide range of tasks including:

• • Working with design agencies on film marketing (posters, adverts etc)
• • Maintaining and managing the website
• • Creating and managing a membership database
• • Managing screening events and premiers
• • Attending meetings and actioning new technologies for the group
• • Working with IT suppliers on current and future technologies
• • Other ad-hoc duties

Required Skills:

• • Strong interest in and knowledge of film, specifically arthouse.
• • Good knowledge and interest in current and emerging technology
• • Working experience with a wide range of software including Photoshop, In Design and Final Cut as well as FTP software and website management
• • A highly motivated and industrious individual who can work work through new problems and find their own solutions.
• • Attention to detail and accuracy.
• • Good communication skills.
