BUFF 2018: Hip Hop Documentary Double Bill

British Urban Film Festival 2018 at Curzon Soho. BUFF was formed in July 2005 to showcase urban independent cinema.

This double bill of vital documentaries features two stories of seminal Hip Hop legacies.

A Way of Life. Documentary that brings to forefront the evolution of the hip-hop culture globally. The film focuses and takes you on a journey through the cultural, musical and political influences on the progression of hip-hop in the individual countries. Featuring over 16 locations across the globe, A Way Of Life explores the highest selling music genre in the world of the last 20 years.

Fantastic - The Legacy of Slum Village tells the story of how three young men from the east side of Detroit (T3, the late Baatin and J Dilla) formed one of the most underrated groups in hip hop history. From hustle to success through tragedy and breakups, the legacy of Slum Village lives on.
