Argentina at the start of the 1980s. Behind the respectable façade of a well-to-do family in the traditional neighbourhood of San Isidro is a sinister clan dedicated to kidnapping their wealthy neighbours.
Arquimedes (Guillermo Francella, from Oscar-winning The Secret in Their Eyes), the family patriarch, leads and plans the operations. Alejandro (Peter Lanzani), his eldest son and a star rugby player, helps his father identify possible targets, using his fame and popularity to avoid suspicion. In their different ways, the other family members are accomplices in these macabre activities, living off the handsome ransoms paid by the families of the kidnap victims.
From acclaimed Argentine director Pablo Trapero - and the production outfits behind the smash hit Wild Tales - comes this gripping true-crime noir thriller that looks at the nature of evil and the true cost of family loyalty.
