Curzon's fine selection of world class Q&As, DocDays, Opera and more

Curzon DocDays

Curzon DocDays is our strand dedicated to documentaries. The screening of outstanding work is followed by discussions and Q&As, creating a forum where ideas and issues raised by investigative filmmaking can be discussed.

Curzon Special Events

Curzon is often adding Special Events to our Programming Schedule. These events range from a variety of formats such as the Wire Weekender, celebrating David Simon’s famous TV series DVD Box Set release, to the 50th anniversary of Michael Powell's Peeping Tom, where acclaimed filmmaker Martin Scorsese was present to discuss his participation on a wider discovery of the film in the US.

Met Opera Live

The New York Metropolitan Opera Live in HD series is back with the 2011-2012 season. As well as showing at Curzon Mayfair, we are also screening at Renoir, Curzon Chelsea, Curzon Richmond and hmvcurzon Wimbledon. On the more popular productions, we will have ENCORE screenings during the week following the live broadcast.

National Theatre Live

NT LIVE is the National Theatre’s initiative to broadcast their performances to cinemas around the world via satellite. After a successful first Season, NT LIVE is back with its exciting new season 2011-12 at Curzon Mayfair, Curzon Richmond and hmvcurzon Wimbledon. Curzon CineKids

Creatively engaging a new generation of cinema lovers, Curzon Cinemas introduces an exciting programme for all the family including a film related activity after each screening. For Children under 14 tickets are £3.00 and Adults are £1. If there are more adults per child in a group the extra adults will be charged the child ticket price. Please Note: It is the law that no child under 8 may be left alone in a cinema. No adult unaccompanied by a child will be admitted to these screenings.

Opera and Ballet at Curzon

Curzon continues to showcase the best in opera and ballet at our cinemas. Either live or pre-recorded in spellbinding high definition from world-class opera and ballet houses such as Royal Opera House and Bolshoi Theatre, there is nothing quite like seeing these performances on the big screen, where you really can get the best seat in the house.

Curzon Special Previews

Curzon brings you previews of the best upcoming releases ahead of their opening dates, giving you a chance to see the best films before everyone else. A limited amount of tickets are available to Curzon Cineastes. To apply for one of the tickets please email membership@curzoncinemas.com with your name, membership number and choice of film (please note: free tickets are limited to one per member).

Curzon Classics

A chance to see some world cinema classics on Sunday afternoons at Curzon Chelsea and Curzon Richmond.

NBCQ

New British Cinema Quarterly (NBCQ) is back showcasing and celebrating new British films. Each quarter, audiences will have the opportunity to see a new film selected from the UK’s major film festivals, followed by a post-screening discussion with the filmmakers.
