Theatre of Blood

Theatre of Blood

Curzon Canterbury proudly presents: A Vincent Price Evening.

On the 28th of October, we are dedicating the evening to this icon of the horror genre, his career and his long-lasting legacy. We will be screening the 1973 film Theatre of Blood, largely considered Price's best film, and the one he most loved out of his vast filmography.

The film tells the story of Edward Lionheart, a Shakespearean actor who, after some scathing reviews, sets out to murder all his critics, in different ways based on various Shakespeare plays.

After the film, we will host a special panel discussion with special guests Peter Fuller and Graham Humphreys.

Peter Fuller is a writer/journalist and is the foremost expert on Vincent Price. He is also the official custodian of the Vincent Price legacy.

Graham Humphreys is a poster designer, who has worked in the film industry creating posters such as The Evil Dead, A Nightmare on Elm Street and Old Boy.

They will be talking to us about working in the industry, will answer any questions about Vincent Price and the film.

As a special treat we welcome Hopdaemon brewery and its new ale 'Black Cat', the official Vincent Price Ale, which was overseen by Peter Fuller and the design made by Graham Humphreys.
